METRADAMO, THE RETURN OF MENSWEAR

This collection pivots around the iconic item of the maison: pants, developed according to chic and informal models and fabrics.
Pants are the unchallenged protagonist– albeit men’s pants. Metradamo, a brand combining deep knowledge of the tailor’s art and an inclination for stylistic research aimed at contemporary trends, with a view to the Spring/Summer 2013 season rediscovers its origins and proposes a menswear collection. The line is fully made in Italy and includes pants characterized by different fits and fabrics: the leitmotif is understated sophistication enhancing the beauty of items made with passion and care for details.
The men of Metradamo are perfectly aware of their style, so much they can depart from shared canons and overexploited trends to develop their own independent look. They are attentive observers capable of appreciating the plays on fabric fineness, the sophistication of patterns and the variety of shapes. A sophisticated man can afford “cool” combinations and exhibit a “wrinkled” allure, like a “metropolitan clochard”.
Thanks to Metradamo, pants become a special object: the collection is based on a reinterpretation of the classic lines of the item, ranging from regular fit to chino, from baggy to Bermuda shorts and soft shorts. Materials envisage an alternation of different weights: heavy linen, shirt cotton, wool canvas. Patterns are the heart of the product: Metradamo provides personality to models by playing with iconic patterns of ties, jacquard in the shades of green, blue and coral red, micro chalk stripes and houndstooth patterns. Delicate influences from the army world underline the masculine character of the capsule.
